Thomas English, son of Joshua English 1701-1771 and Mary Holmes 1705-1789, was born 1731 in Moate, County Westmeath, Ireland and died 1795 in Craven, Clarendon County, South Carolina. He married Margaret Flynn 1732-1793 who was the daughter of Edward Flynn 1692-1762 and Ann Martin 1720-1796.
Robert English, son of Thomas English 1731-1795 and Margaret Flynn, was born 13 June 1773 and died Dec 1847, both in Sumter County, South Carolina. He married Elizabeth Wilson 1779-1860.

He married Mary Jane Bradley who was born 20 May 1801 in Sumter County, South Carolina and died 19 Sep 1875 in Bishopville, Sumter County, South Carolina.
