John Allen Watson was born 2 Sep 1789 in Prince Edward County, Virginia and died 17 Nov 1822. He was the son of Josiah Watson 1759-1827 and Mary "Polly" Nelson 1762-1837 and the grandson of John Watson 1712-1797 and Ann Allen 1726-1805. [See his father and grandfather's wills]
John married Nancy Hamlett who was born about 1797. She was the daughter of Jesse Hamlett 1766-1817 and Elizabeth Clarke. Nancy married 2nd Samuel F Blankenship 1801-1851.
